Charged EVs | Keysight launches EV and EVSE manufacturing test platforms for streamlined end-of-line validation

Keysight Technologies has released the EV2020B and EV2020BE EV Manufacturing Functional Test Platform for EVs and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). These end-of-line test solutions are designed to help automakers and EVSE manufacturers streamline production testing across power conversion systems and charging equipment.

The EV2020B platform targets diverse manufacturing needs for EVs by providing customizable configurations for functional testing of DC-DC converters, on-board chargers, or both. The platform aims to simplify validation, compliance, and production across a single, scalable solution. Keysight states that built-in flexibility and a comprehensive toolset let manufacturers validate performance and ensure compliance in evolving electrification environments.

The EV2020BE platform is specialized for EVSE, supporting both AC and DC charging standards in a unified test setup. The modular charging interface enables rapid swap-outs and quick turnarounds during production, minimizing downtime. The EV2020BE supports dynamic power sharing for dual-gun EVSE simulation, allowing for realistic emulation of peak load conditions, which is important for energy distribution and performance validation in EV charging infrastructure.

Keysight says that production test standardization, streamlined integration for power conversion systems, support for future charging trends and capital expenditure reduction are key benefits of its EOL test platforms.
