Charged EVs | Dielectric Manufacturing expands EV bus bar production with EMS Industrial acquisition

Dielectric Manufacturing has announced the acquisition of EMS Industrial and Service Company, a manufacturer specializing in busbars, expanding the company’s production capabilities for EV and power distribution applications. EMS, based in Richmond, Illinois, has over 25 years of experience in fabricating copper bus bars, aluminum bus bars and customized bus bar systems.

Dielectric Manufacturing, based in Richfield, Wisconsin, has 50 years of experience fabricating and machining components using plastic, carbon fiber, and metal materials. The company states that the addition of EMS to its portfolio streamlines sourcing for customers in the EV and related industries, enabling users to order a wider range of components from a single supplier, reducing the need for multiple purchase validations and payment processes.

“We’ve seen higher demand for electrical system parts used in booming industries such as power transmission, data centers and electric vehicles, and we expect that demand to continue growing,” said Mike Esser, president and CEO of Dielectric Manufacturing. “EMS brings more than 25 years of high-quality busbar production and fast delivery, so we’re ready to meet our customers’ expanding needs.”
